GHANA MANGANESE COMPANY LTD ENROLLS ITS MAIDEN COMMUNITY APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

Ghana Manganese Company Ltd has implemented its maiden Community Apprenticeship Program to empower the youth within its host communities to acquire employable skills.

The first batch of 27 apprentices was enrolled in April 2021 and is currently acquiring knowledge and skills in departments such as Mining, Survey, Human Resources, and Engineering.

The Human Resource Department of the company has structured the training to enhance the learning experience by exposing the trainees to various practical aspects of mining operations.

After successfully completing the program, it is hoped that these young graduates will acquire the right skills and competencies to make them employable in their chosen professions.

The Community Apprenticeship Programme adds to the many skills acquisition programs Ghana Manganese Company Ltd. has implemented in the host communities for the past years.

In a related development, Ghana Manganese Company Ltd through its scholarship scheme has awarded scholarships to 65 beneficiaries, for the 2020/2021 academic year, at the cost of One Hundred and Eighty-Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 180,000.00).
