GMC’s Emergency Response Team saved a 12-year-old boy from a deadly bee attack.
Joshua who was returning from school with his father was attacked by the bees on March,26 in Nsuta.

An attempt by the father and the teachers to rescue the boy failed, as they were equally attacked by the swarm of bees that had built their hive in a discarded lorry tire around Dadwen School Complex.

According to Mr. George Bantum, the HSE Emergency Response Team leader, they had a call from the teachers about the attack by the bees. The team was able to rescue and send the boy who was in critical condition to GMC Hospital and has since recovered and joined the family.
