GMC Appoints Joseph Intsiful As Chief Financial Officer

The Board of Directors of Ghana Manganese Company Ltd has appointed Mr. Joseph Intsiful as the new Chief Financial Officer of the company with effect from 01 February 2020. He Leads the Finance, Supply Chain, Port Operations, Internal Audit, and IT groups reporting to the Managing Director and CEO.
Prior to commencing at GMC, Joe worked for Newmont Corporation in a variety of roles as Regional Capital and Investment Manager for Africa, Assistant Financial Controller and Head of Business Analysis for Africa, Head of Finance for Akyem Mine, and most recently as Head of Finance for Ghana’s largest mine at Ahafo. Joseph was involved in the project development and construction of Newmont’s Akyem mine and the expansion of Ahafo mine to include Subika Underground. He also worked at Newmont North America operations in Colorado and Nevada on various business planning and investment projects.
Before joining Newmont, he worked for a number of UK financial institutions including as a Risk Analysts and Underwriter for Barclaycard and the Nationwide Building Society where he later became a Lending Manager for Projects and Housing finance and was responsible for managing a network of professional relationships, including major quoted and private property companies, government bodies in the Social Housing sector, institutional fund managers, key influencers within the property and construction industry and sponsors of project finance through the UK government’s private finance initiative.
